Living Temple Residency - The Creation of a Ritual
During seven days of this project, artists from multiple backgrounds had to work together, each one with their preferred media, as a community, to co-create a Ritual that had to be shown on the finissage event. My support for the ritual activity consisted of building an interactive loop machine. On the table next to the machine there were two bowls, only one filled with water, both of them had a microphone connected to the edges.
The attendees received a salt crystal at the entrance, after the opening ceremony they could choose to throw the crystal in one of the two bowls, the sound of the falling objects were recorded and playback straight, generating a soundscape to use for dance improvisation led by another artist.
